Batch-Coating and Reel-to Reel-Coating

The conventional coating with CVD is carried out in general in a hood stove, which is been loaded with components to be coated. The hood is then evacuated and the process brought to operating temperature. After completion of the process the stove is cooled down and the coated parts can be removed.

PerCoTech has developed a continuous CVD process, for the production of superconductive wires from Reel to Reel. Basicly the length of the wires is restricted only by the capacity of the reel.

The process is designed linear and can be scaled up arbitrarily for high throughput capacities. The animation shows the principle of operation of the PerCoTech process.

Generally, also other substrates can be coated with functional layers with this technology. Essential parameters for this are the required layer thicknesses, the dwell time in the reactor and the geometry of the substrates. Should you be interested in a special solution, please contact us!
